Feteasca Alba, meaning "white and young maiden," has the second-largest acreage in Romania. This varietal is a parent of Feteasca Regala and is considered one of the eight representative varietals of Romania, along with Feteasca Regala.
Its taste is often described as dry, with a richer texture and fuller body than Feteasca Regala, and flavors of citrus, peat, or apricot.
